Craftin Desert Divas January Release Blog Hop Friday Day 1

Welcome to the CDD January Stamp & Die Release Blog Hop.
All stamps & Dies are in the CDD Shop and now available for purchase HERE.

Here's what I've created for you...

My 1st card : Kitchen Cuties

First I began to heat embossed directly on my cardbase with the Star border stamp from Across The Borders stamp set.  I then cut the scallop circle from Stitched in Circle Dies and began to stamp my little soup can image from Kitchen Cuties New Release.  I stacked them up as shown below.

I then colored them all in gray markers except the top can.  I colored it in red to make it as a Souper Can :)
I also masked all the cans and did ink distress for my background.
I diecut one of the arrow heart from our new release Heart of Heart Dies from gold glister paperI also stamped the sentiment on a thin strip of white cardstock.

I poped the whole panel of scallop circle on form tape and tucked in my sentiment banner beside it.  I then used the heart arrow to emphasize the red souper can image.
And it's all done!

My 2nd Card : Slow

I had fun making this card.  I first stamped my turtle image toward the bottom center of my card panel and then masked him off.  Then I started creating my masking scene.  On another cardstock I drew the hill line and my pond areaFirst I cut the hill line out and used the hill line to create my sky with blue ink.  I then cut out the pond area and positioned it at the corner of my card with abit of repositionable glue.  I then covered my sky and began to create my hill with green ink.  Once the hill was done I covered the hill area and created my pond with blue ink.
I also stamped and colored the Sun image from The Sky is The Limited stamp set at the top left corner.

I used the wreath die from Stitched in Circle dies to create my water plants and did abit of embellishment with Mermaid Lagoon Sequins at the pond area.

Last but not least I colored my lovely turtle and stamped the sentiment on the hill area. I also hand-drawn the pebbles/rocks as a ground for my image and colored them in various brown and gray markers.
And TaDa... I'm done!

Here is what I made..

I began to cut 3 scallop circles from black cardstock using the largest die from Stitched in Circle Dies and constructed my easel cardbase.  From the same die I then cut one more scallop circle but trimmed out the scallop to make my layer card panel.  I then used the stitched circle die (2nd from the largest) on cream and green cardstocks.  For the green stitched circle, I cut my hill die from Outdoor landscape and attached it to my cream card.  It would be my grass area for my images. I then stamped 3 cutie pandas and lot of bamboos from Panda Pals Stamp on white cardstock, colored them with various copic markers and fussy cut them out.
I put all my images together on my cream card then adhered it onto my layering card then onto my card front.  I also cut the word "HI" from Pocket Pieces "HI" dies to make my sentiment.  To make my front panel stay on as easel, I then stamped 2 panda paws, colored and cut them out.  I attached both paws onto my inside card.  It's served as a stopper.  I finished the card off by sprinkle Cotton Candy Sequins in various positons and used green gel pen to make a dot on the scallop as my hi light.

And here's the closer look of my card.

Chickie - Just Because "I Love You"

Hello Friends...
It's Jan here from handcraft hobby.  Today I am on Craftin Desert Divas' Blog sharing with you my little projcet, fun pull out card.  I can't resist this cutie - Chickie stamp set :)  Here is my card...

I started by using Fancy Frames Dies (2nd from the largest) to cut my panel on white cardstock. I then stamped my big chickie and the little ones side by side onto another white cardstock and colored them in with various copic markers then fuzzy cut them out.

I used Simply Said stamp set for all my sentiments. I positioned my chickie image at the center of my panel as a guide and stamped the sentiment "Just Because" above it.  Then I stamped the sentiment " I love you" at the center and made sure that my image was covered the sentiment.

Toward the bottom of the chickie image, on my main panel I cut a long track for my pull out mechanism (about 1/16 inch hight and stopped about half an inch toward the right side of the panel).
I used 2 thin strips of paper folded about an inch toward the end and criss cross each other.  I then attached my chickie image as shown below.

Here is my paper mechanism...

Before I inserted my pull out mechanism paper I distressed the panel with light blue ink to make the sky and green ink for my grassy scene.  From behind my main panel I then pushed my image thru the front and made sure that another strip of pull out paper was behide and on the right side.

I then cut the grassy die - Outdoor Landscape die from green cardstock and popped them up with the form tape so that they would be no blocking when pulling out and also to cover the track.

Here is another image after pulling out.

I also stamped the sentiment "Always" at the pull out tap itself to reveal another secret message.  I popped the whole panel up with form tape and started to work on my cardbase.  I heat embossed the little chickie onto the cardbase itself with clear embossing power at all 4 sides. Then I put the whole main panel at the center of my cardbase and did some decorations.  And it's done!

Here is full card after pulling the tap

Thank you so much for stopping by and here are CDD products that I used.

Stamp to give some texture to the frame.
Inside panel I stamped the cute little Husky in the center from Chilly stamp set and
colored him with various copic markers
I masked him off then stamped again using Across The Borders stamp (many small dots) for snow effect. I then stamped the sentiment "Happy Howl-idays" also from Chilly set
Filled in the panel with all the delicious sequins - Pixie Dust sequin.  I then finished this card
